Now there is a recipe I want to share with you; Homemade Fried Ice Cream!

Now I want to share the details with you. If you've never had fried ice cream before, it might be hard to guess. Now imagine fried ice cream without scrolling down the page. You might wonder how ice cream doesn't melt when fried in hot oil. We have a little secret for this, but I'll tell you later.

In the past, it was almost impossible to make ice cream at home. But now, with the development of technology, the number of machines to make ice cream have increased. Of course, it is not possible to prepare ice cream in a short time because we should wait until it reaches the ideal coldness. That's why you have to wait and put some effort into it. But when you think about the result, you can have additive-free, healthy, fresh and the ice cream that has the flavor you desired. Moreover, you can prepare a large amount and store it in the freezer and consume it whenever you want.

We prepared the ice cream, then let's talk about the frying part. Of course, we need some ingredients to fry the ice cream. These are eggs, cinnamon and corn flakes cereal. We will cover the ice cream with these ingredients in turn. Then we will fry it in hot oil. It is covered with fried corn flakes cereal and the inside is homemade vanilla flavored ice cream. Vanilla is used in the ice cream in this recipe, but if you want, you can prepare cocoa, fruit or pistachio ice cream. This is entirely up to you. Now you can reach the legendary recipe without wondering any more.

Homemade Fried Ice Cream Ingredients

 3 cups heavy cream
 1 ½ cups milk
 1 cup granulated sugar
 ½ tsp pure salep (optional)
 1 pinch salt
 4 egg yolks
 1 tbsp vanilla extract
For the coating
 2 eggs
 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
 4 cups corn flakes cereal

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and 1/4 cup sugar. In a medium saucepan, add milk, heavy cream, salep, salt, and remaining sugar. Bring it to a boil over medium-high in around 4-5 minutes. Once the mixture comes to a boil, slowly drizzle a half cup of the hot milk mixture onto the egg mixture while mixing continuously. Then return this mixture to the saucepan and heat until it reaches 80°C / 175°F while stirring constantly. Once the mixture comes to the correct temperature, remove it from the heat. Add the vanilla extract and stir. Set aside to cool at room temperature. Pour the prepared cream into a large bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours, or better overnight.

The next day, transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker. Fill around the ice cream maker with ice cubes. This will keep the ice cream cold. Then turn the ice cream maker.

Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or ice cream keeper, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze overnight.

Preparing the Fried Ice cream:

Scoop large size ice cream balls and place them on a chilled baking sheet. Freeze until firm for around 30-40 minutes.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and cinnamon until foamy. In another bowl, add crushed cornflakes cereal.

Roll every ice cream ball first with foamed eggs and coat with cornflakes cereal. Repeat this process one more time to make sure to cover the ice cream balls completely. Return the balls to the baking sheet and freeze for 2-3 hours.

In a deep saucepan, heat the oil to 190°C / 375 °F, and fry each ice cream ball for 10-12 seconds until golden brown. Remove from the pan.

Top with chocolate sauce and serve immediately.
