Butter, which we can define as the concentrated form of milk fat, is a delicious ingredient that adds flavor to meals and desserts in kitchens. Making it at home is much easier than you think. It is said that if the food is cooked with butter, it reaches its true taste. The form, content, aroma and unique smell of butter increase the flavor of the food you cook. Also, if these dishes are made with homemade butter, not only delicious but also healthy meals are prepared.
Butter is also seen as a type of antioxidant. Regular and adequate consumption of natural butter has great effects on strengthening the immune system. In addition, butter repairs the body and protects against possible infections. At the same time, thanks to the vitamins and minerals in the butter, it helps the digestive system to work well and accelerates the metabolism. In this respect, if it is consumed in small amounts, it will not prevent people who are on a diet from eating under the control of a dietitian.
Then everyone should be the chef of their own kitchen and start producing their own homemade butter!
Homemade Foamy Butter Ingredients
Instructions
Pour the heavy cream into a bowl. The reason why we prefer heavy cream while preparing butter is because it is both practical and suitable for the nature of butter.
Use an electric mixer or a stand mixer to combine the ingredients (or you can use a butter maker). By using these machines, you can make the cream thicken and make it easier to take the shape of butter. For around 10-12 minutes, beat the cream until the fat solids separate from the liquid.
Pour ice water into a large bowl. Wash the butter by dipping it in water. Repeat the process until the water does not look milky and remember to change the water each time you repeat the process.
Then, with the help of wooden paddles, we will give the butter the shape we see on the market shelves. You can give the butter a rectangular shape by using the paddles you have in both hands. After shaping the butter, cover it with parchment paper.
Place the butter in a pan over medium heat. Stir the butter, keeping your eyes on it to make sure it doesn't burn. When the butter is lightly browned and smells nutty, remove the pan from the heat and pour the butter into a bowl. The reason we melt butter is to get a more spreadable consistency and to make it easier to spread on bread.
In a large bowl, add cold-ice water and place the butter bowl over the ice water. Then beat the butter until it becomes foamy.
You can spread it on hot bread and consume it by grating parmesan cheese on it if you wish.
