Poached Eggs, which is not missing from the tables of the Ottoman sultans, is one of the most preferred flavors of the Ottoman sultans for breakfast in the 15th century, and is among the important flavors of Anatolian cuisine today.

What are you waiting for trying this recipe that will impress you first with its appearance, then with its smell and taste? Come on to the kitchen!

Turkish-Style Poached Eggs with Yogurt Ingredients

 2 eggs
 yogurt
 garlic
 fresh dill
 butter
 paprika
 cumin
 crushed red chili peppers
 salt
 1 tbsp vinegar
 1 slice bread
 olive oil

Instructions

1

Take a skillet or a small saucepan and set it to low-medium heat. Add a small piece of butter, paprika, cumin, crushed red chili peppers. Mix it well and make sure that it is all mixed together and homogenized, then set it aside. How to use this spicy oil mixture we have obtained is now a secret!

2

Roughly chop the fresh dill on a wooden chopping board. Did you smell the impressive smell while chopping? It's time to add yogurt to the bowl and of course we will flavor the yogurt. Add the chopped dill, salt, pepper to the yogurt and grate the fresh garlic, mix well.

3

Fill the pot with water from the tap. Bring the water to a light simmer/soft boil. The water will continue to boil while we continue with other steps.

4

Crack 2 eggs into different bowls. You should avoid hurting the yolks because the eggs should not be mixed when laying them in the water.

5

Cut a slice of bread as it crowns the taste of eggs benedict with crispy bread. Drizzle olive oil or butter on it to increase its crispiness and start toast over high heat in a pan.

6

Add a tablespoon of vinegar to the boiling water, stir gently, you don't need the vortex. Drop the eggs slowly and gently into the boiling water. Once in, just let them do their thing; everything will happen on its own. It only takes 2-3 minutes for the egg to cook.

7

Now it's time for service! First of all, we will prepare a bed for the eggs by putting the yogurt in which we have added dill on the plate. Lay the eggs on this yogurt bed. Now it's time to add the spicy oil mixture you prepared first to the eggs. If the butter becomes solid, you can reheat it on the stove and add it to the eggs. We already smell the delicious spice and butter. But it is not ready yet. Put the fried bread on the plate and here is your dream eggs benedict ready in just 10 minutes!
